Administration Support Officer
Directorate & Business Unit - Contact Centre, Information Directorate
2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible to: Team Coordinator
Other reporting line: Contact Centre Manager

3. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide high quality administrative support to the Contact Centre.
4. KEY RESULT AREAS:
Contact Centre administrative processes completed within agreed performance
targets/standards.
5. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to communicate at all levels
Ability to work unsupervised and using own initiative
Good understanding of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience of
working with databases and inputting data entry

6. CONTEXT AND DIMENSIONS
Based in the Redditch office, the post holder provides admin support for the Contact
Centre, following clearly defined processes. The job is extremely variable and can
involve different tasks on a daily basis.
7. COMPLEXITY & CREATIVITY
Post holder must be able to complete processes that require finding information from a
variety of different sources.
Post holder must be able to update databases accurately.
8. JUDGEMENT, RESPONSIBILITY & DECISIONS
Post holder must be able to work without direct supervision and make decisions about
how to manage own time.
Post holder must be able to assess when to seek clarification from team manager/team
coordinator
9. CONTACTS & COMMUNICATIONS
Limited contact with customers to clarify and/or confirm detail that relates to their request.
10. DECLARATION
This is a description of the job as it is at present. It is the practice of the Law Society to
review job descriptions annually to ensure that they relate to the job as then being
performed or to incorporate whatever changes are being proposed.
This review will be carried out by the Director/Manager in consultation with the jobholder,
who will be expected to participate fully in such discussions. It is the aim to reach
agreement to reasonable changes, but if agreement is not possible the Director reserves
the right to decide on changes to the job description commensurate with the job-holder’s
position in the organisation.
