                                                                                                                                 to area, you should contact the Forest Service or one of the Ranger Stations in the region (see page 68) to
                                                                                                                                 determine what restrictions, if any, apply to your particular destination.
                                                                                                                                     Some standard restrictions to keep in mind are:
                                                                                                                                 n   Above treeline, camping is allowed only when there is at least two feet of snow on the ground.
                                                                                                                                 n   Great Gulf Wilderness: camping below treeline only, and 200' off the trail or in designated sites along the trail.
                                                                                                                                     Camping is not permitted beyond the junction of the Sphinx and Great Gulf Trails in the direction of Spaulding Lake.
