Our unique organization seeks to provide visitors with
high-quality tours and safaris with a difference. Tourists

Community Support Group and Matibabu Foundation.

HHT&S strive towards excellence in catering for
customers’ individual requests to ensure a satisfying and
rewarding experience.

        History and Development
HHT&S was founded in January 2006 in an effort to
create a financial back bone for its existing non-profit
community organizations; Community Support Group
and Matibabu Foundation, in Kenya.

Community Support Group (CSG) was established in
2001 to provide a survival mechanism for the poor living
in the Kibera slums of Nairobi. Recently, CSG has had
rapid growth, expanding beyond the city limits to reach
rural communities. CSG’s major objectives include:

 community health care
  & education
 environmental
  awareness & sanitation
 youth sports &
  community media
 poverty alleviation

In 2004, with the help of eight American doctors, the
Matibabu Foundation was established to work in tandem
with CSG, providing medical care, support, education
and supplies to residents of Ugenya, Kenya.

HHT&S was established to offer its international visitors
“something different.” We offer unique safaris and sight
seeing trips in conjunction with opportunities to
participate and contribute to some of the voluntary
programs taking place within CSG/Matibabu. Profits from
the organization are re-invested into the community by
financially supporting CSG and Matibabu’s social
development and health related initiatives/projects.

Other projects run by the health clinic include the Healthy
Children's Clinic (that focuses on the issue of worm
control) and the Mosquito Net Distribution Project.

The Youth Friendly Centre strives to empower youths to
realize their potential for self-help. The Centre, in
conjunction with the Matibabu Health Clinic, also stresses
the need of dialogue, specifically regarding health and
reproductive issues such as HIV/AIDS.

CSG’s Women's Centre aims to provide a platform for
women of all ages to empower themselves and realize
their own abilities and potential for self-help. It provides a
safe haven for women to voice their concerns or opinions
pertaining to issues that affect their lives.

Educating youth about environmental management and
protection through the establishment of waste
management and recycling programs in the community.

“Kenya is a majestic country. I had the opportunity to not
only experience the beauty of its environment but
through volunteering I shared the warmth and spirit of
             African culture and its people.”
         Michel Crevecoeur, the Netherlands

“I had seen the big 5 at the zoo, but seeing them on
safari made me realize there is nothing more beautiful
than observing these animals in their natural habitat.”
                   Emily Guh, China

“To be confronted with the actual image of „poverty‟ and
recognize how something little really does go a long way
in communities such as Kibera really inspired me to do
more. My volunteer experience taught me that I, as one
individual, can make a difference – even from Australia!”
