                                   IT'S GOT TO BE AUSTRIA.

Dear Partners and Friends of the Austrian
Trade Commission,

All hopes lie in a more prosperous 2010, in
the U.S. and also in Europe. The Austrian
economy will contract this year for the first
time since the 2001 recession and after
several years of solid growth. Both
companies and their employees feel the
pain, but the first signs of recovery are
already visible.

Austrian companies in the U.S. also have
to readjust to the environment and become leaner. Some, however, have the necessary
reserves to make use of investment opportunities previously unheard of. And Austrian
companies are getting ready to provide our U.S. friends with manufacturing excellence
once consumer demand is in full swing again.

We at the Austrian Trade Commissions in the U.S. help companies in this time
of transition and continue building bridges over the Atlantic. Austrian companies
also accompany their U.S. partners through stormy waters. We are very proud to be
able to introduce you to more than 30 Austrian exhibitors at this June's plastic show
NPE in Chicago. Austria will again be present at environmental gatherings like Waste
Expo in Las Vegas and Weftec in Orlando. And we expect over 100 Austrian company
representatives to gather this September in Atlanta and "connect" to each other.
As you read this, I will already be in Austria for a whole month for presentations and
one-on-one meetings with Austrian companies in order to increase their interest in the
U.S. market.

"Servus" and have a great summer,

Franz Rössler and the team of the Austrian Trade Commission in Chicago

Maja's Eco Corner

The U.S. wind energy industry has experienced
tremendous growth over the years, shattering all
previous records by installing over 8 GW of new wind
capacity in 2008. With over USD 16 billion in new
investment in 2008, the U.S. wind power market
will continue to grow in the coming years.

"Now or never" should be the key phrase for all Austrian manufacturers in the
renewable energy industry. The United States is a major player in the wind power
market and one of the biggest producers of wind energy. Perfect timing for Austrian
companies to introduce their products, services and technologies to the U.S. market
place.

Six Austrian companies did just that at the recently held WINDPOWER 2009 in
Chicago from May 4 - 7. Bachmann Electronic, AMSC Windtec, Ebnerfab and SKF
Economos GmbH (exhibitors) and The Wind Company GmbH and Josef Martin GmbH
(attendees) received an invaluable overview of the industry's national and
international activities.
