• In heavy nuclei Gamma rays and
  conversion electrons compete.

  E.g. for Z~100:

• E2: Conversion is dominant above 400 keV

• M1: Conversion is dominant above 200 keV

• Any heavy (trans-)actinide nucleus
  must be studied twice:
    gammas and electrons

• SAGE allows the simultaneous
  investigation of gamma rays and
  conversion electrons in the same
  experiment!
