     The benefits of defining aims & objectives:

     • Common understanding of what you want to
       achieve and where you are heading
     • Gives your organisation a focus
     • Progress/success can be monitored against them

        Remember:

        • Don’t make the aim/s too restrictive
        • Your project outcomes must link with your
          organisational aims and objectives.
        • Objectives need to be SMART


        Specific – Measurable – Achievable – Realistic - Timebound
