									          LEAVERS COMMUNITY APPRECIATION FUND - ROUND TWO FROM LEAVERS 2008


The Leavers Community Appreciation Fund was established to provide a return to the Dunsborough
community following Leavers celebrations in the area.

Non-government and not for profit groups are invited to apply for funding for initiatives that benefit the
Dunsborough community.

Two rounds are offered each year. Round two from Leavers 2008 is now open and calling for groups to
apply for individual grants for initiatives to be implemented in the Dunsborough area.

Applications for round two 2008 of the Leavers Community Appreciation Fund close on Friday 24 April
2009 and successful applicants will be notified by Friday 5 June 2009.

                                        WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY

    Incorporated organisations (includes not for profit, companies and statutory bodies).

    Innovative projects that benefit the community of Dunsborough (ie. activities, infrastructure).

    Population or community based approaches (rather than one to one interventions) which benefit the
    broader community rather than individuals.


                                          INELIGIBLE FOR FUNDING

    Applications received after the deadline (24 April 2009)

    Organisations and their affiliates that accept any form of funding from tobacco companies or their
    related foundations.

    Applications from individuals, profit making groups, private consultants or non-incorporated bodies.

    Activities where fundraising and/or the awarding/purchase of prizes are the primary objectives.

    Activities that support political organisations whether state, national or international.

    Retrospective funding of initiatives, events, activities and infrastructure.

    Any activity or event that does not occur in Dunsborough.

    Organisations that cannot provide an ABN.

If a project is funded and that specific project does not go ahead, the funds are to be returned to the
Leavers Community Appreciation Fund to be re-allocated to another appropriate project.
