									Opportunities for people receiving
Disability Support Pension
to access Job Network employment service

JOB futures sites in Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Perth are participating in a pilot aimed at giving better access to
people on Disability Support Pensions to services to help them gain employment.

If you are on the Disability Support Pension, and interested in going back to work or job oriented study, you can sign on to the pilot at any
of our participating offices. We offer support, for example through the provision of Auslan interpreter assistance, to enable you to access
our services.

  Through this pilot JOB futures can help you:
    ª establish a long term career goal, with a plan about how to get there;
    ª identify the type of job and employer to target in your job search;
    ª refine your job search strategy – including preparing a resume, application letters and helping with your preparation
        for job interviews;
    ª secure a work experience placement;
    ª identify any personal development or work skills training that you might need;
    ª meet with and get support from other job seekers.

JOB futures can help with training funds, transport and other costs related to getting and keeping a job. Our marketing staff will contact
employers on your behalf to help you get your ‘foot in the door’.

                           J We’ll keep in touch after placement to help you settle in to your new job
