Design and System performance details ( AS4509.2 Section 5 - 5.1 (a) to (h) )

       ( Note variation due to abnormal usage and/or prevailing weather conditions )

Where the client must engage other contractors

Room for the signature of the authorised company representative and where the form is used
as a Contract Acceptance, room for the client’s signature and date. Some State regulations
require a more formal contract for work over $X,000 – check the requirements for your State.

They are required to design and install power systems in accordance with all relevant
Australian Standards and BCSE design and installation guidelines.

2. Additional documentation
There are areas where RE business needs to better protect their own interests when
dealing with some customers. If potential problems are anticipated before they arise
then a very much smoother relationship with the customer will follow.

The Stand-alone Power System comprises the equipment and components listed in the quotation.
All Design and Installation work will conform with the requirements of AS 4509 and AS 4086.
All Extra Low Voltage ( ELV ) d.c. wiring and connection will be completed in accordance
with Industry guidelines and applicable Australian Standards ( AS/NZS 3000:2007 )
Appended sketches, drawings or material schedules form part of the specification of works.

Inclusions statements like …

All hardware, cable and accessories are provided for the mounting, wiring
and connection of the equipment specified in quotation and any appended material
schedules.

Testing and commissioning will be performed in accordance with AS 4509.3
Testing and commissioning documentation will be provided in accordance with
AS 4509.3 recommendations and Quality Assurance guidelines.

A System Manual will be provided in accordance with AS 4509.3 recommendations.

LV d.c. accessories, wiring and installation has been included in this quotation.
Communication cabling between the equipment supplied and a 'communications network
connection point' has been included in this quotation.

Exclusions statements like …

Suitable battery and equipment areas are to be provided by the customer. These areas must
be readily accessible, well ventilated, lockable and should be vermin-proof.
For this installation a floor area of approximately XXm² is required.

All LV a.c. ( 240V ) wiring and connection must be completed
by an Electrical Contractor.
This will normally include … Inverter output to the AC Switchboard
and Generator to Battery Charger GPO or Inverter-Charger and/or supplied AC Contactor

The cost of LV a.c. accessories, wiring and installation has NOT been included in this quotation.
All LV d.c. ( >120V open circuit ) wiring must be installed, inspected and approved by an
electrical contractor.
Final test and connection of LV d.c. must also be performed by the electrical contractor.

Communications connection must be completed by an appropriately licenced data-cabling
contractor. A 'communications network connection point' must be provided adjacent to the
installed equipment. The cost of 'network' accessories, wiring and installation has NOT been
included in this Quotation.

Warranty statements like …

A X year 'workmanship' warranty applies to this Stand-alone Power System installation.

The major equipment items supplied carry manufacturers' warranties that vary between 12
months, for some equipment and limited 25 year ( eg. PV modules ). These will normally require
that the cost of return of faulty equipment is the responsibility of the equipment owner.
Costs incurred by INSERT your BUSINESS NAME for the transport, disconnection and
re-connection of repaired equipment will be invoiced to the equipment owner.
