More Info
									   Morning Star Scholarship
   The Morning Star Scholarship was established in 1996 by Pamela and Alan Harris to assist
   not only those affected by personal and financial hardship but all Australian Indigenous
   students who have shown determination to realise their potential in their studies at
   Charles Darwin University.

   Australian Indigenous students awarded the scholarship are recognised as students with a highly
   regarded track record and feel pride in having been selected. As well as improving career
   prospects, the Morning Star Scholarship gives recipients an incentive to strive and achieve
   excellence in their studies.

   The scholarship is available for Australian Indigenous students enrolled full time in their final year
   of study at Charles Darwin University. Awardees in three-year degree programs will receive
   assistance in their final year. In the case of four-year programs such as Law, students will have
   the option of applying for the Scholarship for their third year to assist with the high cost of course
   materials, or for assistance in their final year.

   The value of the Scholarship is a maximum of $1,000 for one year payable after the census date
   in Semester 1.

   Eligibility

   The successful applicant will:

   • not have previously held a Morning Star Scholarship for a period greater than one semester;

   • be a current enrolled student in their final year of study;

   • be of Australian Indigenous descent; and

   • must be receiving Abstudy allowance.
