A food and clothing distribution center serving homeless men and women living on the streets of Los Angeles' Skid Row. Chrysalis developed an effective and nationally recognized program to help homeless people become job ready and ultimately find and retain employment. a nonprofit organization established in 1919, provides a broad range of essential human services and economic development activities to low and moderate income residents within Hollywood, the San Fernando Valley and the greater Los Angeles area through a partnership of dedicated volunteers and staff. To improve the school systems, parent organizations, and special education schools for persons with disabilities, helped to found the Independent Living Center of Southern California, Inc. The San Fernando Valley Central Office is an A.A. service office that involves the partnership of groups in our area. It exists to aid the groups in their common purpose of carrying the A.A. message to the alcoholic who still suffers. In 1994, a group of parents and educators came together with a dream of a new kind of school. One that offered a way for every child to maximize his or her potential. A place where teachers and students could develop close bonds, fostering a love of learning and a desire to make a difference in the world. A place where students were empowered not just by learning from books. Friends of the Family is a unique nonprofit that works in collaboration with public and private funders and community-based organizations and residents to support families with young children as they strive to reach their goals for their children and themselves, especially goals related to children's emotional, social, cognitive, and physical health and well-being, and parents' education, employment, and parenting.

Primary emphasis is placed on providing services to children, adolescents and transitional age youth with serious emotional disorders, and adults and older adults with severe and persistent mental illness. The Center is committed to treating all clients with dignity and improving their quality of life. The San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center is a private, nonprofit agency dedicated to enhancing the mental health of individuals and families within the community. Primary emphasis is placed on providing services to children, adolescents and transitional age youth with serious emotional disorders, and adults and older adults with severe and persistent mental illness. The Center is committed to treating all clients with dignity and improving their quality of life. SAHF's primary focus is the preservation of affordable rental homes for low-income seniors, disabled individuals, and families. While the need to stem the loss of affordable apartments is critically important, it was not simply out of a desire to facilitate acquisitions that the organization was formed. Provide daliy skill development for disabled adults. The National Council of the Boy Scouts of America supports more than 300 local councils that provide quality youth programs, including Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, and Venturing.

Thirty-first District PTSA understands the importance of good health to a child's quality of life and believes a child's ability to learn is directly related to his or her state of health, and that inadequate health care is a barrier to education.
