  The Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating Celebrates Gala
  Dinner by Surpassing the $1.5 Million Dollar Goal for the 2008/2009
  Fundraising Campaign in Support of Habitat for Humanity Canada
Toronto, Ontario, April 4, 2008 . . . In December 2006 the Charity Committee in support of Habitat for Humanity
of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH) began its fundraising campaign with an aggressive
goal to raise $1.5 million in cash & products. During the March 26, 2008 Gala Dinner held at the Fairmont
Royal York, Charity Committee Chairman Russ Morgan (IPEX) proudly announced that the Institute and its
members had raised a record-breaking $1,599,644! Since 1994, CIPH members have now contributed over
$5.1 million in cash and products to Habitat for Humanity Canada (HFHC) and helped more than 1,000
Canadian families move into safe, affordable homes across the country. CIPH is one of HFHC’s top corporate
donors. Over 315 industry members and guests attended the elegant event that featured an exquisite
gourmet meal, charity auction and entertainment by Comedian Brent Butt of Corner Gas.

                                              Case de Jong (Franke Kindred) was recognized for his many
                                              contributions to Habitat for Humanity Canada. Case chaired the
                                              initial fundraising campaign in 1994 and was responsible for the
                                              development of the unique certificate program that CIPH uses to
                                              distribute products to Habitat affiliates cross the country. Case
                                              still remains a very active member of the Charity Committee.

Ontario Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing - The Honorable
Jim Watson attended the dinner and provided a special greeting
recognizing CIPH’s efforts in helping Habitat families on behalf of
the Provincial Government and also congratulated CIPH on its
75th Anniversary.
 A special thanks goes out to all those who contributed to the campaign and to the major
 donors who donated $25,000 or more in cash and/or product (at least $5,000 of which
 was required in the form of a cash donation).

 CIPH Chairman of the Board Barry Raycroft (Bardon Supplies) announced that the fifth
 CIPH Home is planned for this spring in Montreal during the campaign. It was also
 announced that enough funds have been generated to build another home in 2009.
