Fun for Kids
   Seven weeks of exciting adventure for kids 5-12 years old
Sign up for a single camp or the whole SummerQuest program!

•   The FULL week of activities will cost $50 per week.
•   Family rate: $90 for 2 children, $120 for 3 per week.
•   Children must be 5 years of age by December 31, 2009.
•   SummerQuest T-Shirts will also be available $13/each.
•   We strive to be accessible to all children in our community. Subsidies are
    available with confidentiality guaranteed, please contact us.
•   Camps run from 8:30am-4:30pm.
•   Pack your child a lunch and snacks to last throughout the day.
•   Registration will begin April 6 and close June 5. First come first serve,
    residents of the Town of Sackville have priority. We will advertise any
    remaining vacant spaces after June 5.

July 6-10
The Power of Musical Theatre
Join Festival by the Marsh this summer for a week of musical theatre skill
learning and performance. Learn about healthy vocal technique, acting and
dancing, and perform a role in a revue show of Broadway musicals onstage, to
be presented as part of the FBTM Family Day on July 10. Share your joy in
musical theatre with us this summer!

July 6-10
Athletic Adventures
Sports, sports and more sports! Specific focus on
developing skills, good sportsmanship, positive
attitude and leadership. Join us for lots of fun playing
soccer, baseball, ball hockey, basketball and more.

July 13-17
Olympic Dreams & International Experiences
An active week focused on Olympic sports and international cooperation. We’ll
make a trip to the Mount Allison Track and Pool, play team sports, and
participate in visits and activities with citizens from around the world.

July 20-24
Environmental Exploration
                                           Explore our local environment, learn
                                           about conservation and participate in
                                           great day trips. Head out to the
                                           Sackville Waterfowl Park, Tantramar
                                           Wetlands Centre, Atlantic Wildlife
                                           Institute, Community Garden, and
                                           much more.
July 27-31
SHOCKing Science
Partnering with SHOCK Camp at Mount Allison to offer a week full of
experiments, learning and fun. We’ll be spending three days on the Mount
Allison University Campus, a day as Mad Scientists and taking a day trip to
Cape Jourimain!

August 4-7
Bugs & Animals – Ages 5-7
A fun and educational week discovering
creatures in our backyard. Includes day
trips to the Waterfowl Park and Wetland
Centre, critter dipping, nature walks,
animal games, trip to the Magnetic Hill
Zoo, SPCA and even a “pet day”.

August 4-7
Outdoor Adventures – Ages 8-12
Explore the great outdoors at Beech Hill Park! This week will include
orienteering, hiking, outdoor cooking, wilderness training and games. We’ll also
spend a day at Lillas Fawcett Park swimming, boating & more!

August 10-14
Heritage Explorer Camp
                                 In partnership with the Tantramar Heritage
                                 Trust, this camp will include: a day spent at the
                                 Campbell’s Carriage Factory, Boultenhouse,
                                 historic walks and shipbuilding tales on the
                                 dykes, exploring some of our historic treasures
                                 in the downtown (Music Hall, etc), and more!
August 17-21
“Sackville in the Summer” Celebration
Summer can feel too short! Our final SummerQuest week will pull together all
the great activities from the summer and end in a celebration of all of Sackville’s
great assets! Spend a day at Beech Hill, hiking and exploring, a day at Lillas
Fawcett Park for swimming and canoeing, lots of great sports, visits to local
attractions and more!

SummerQuest Year End Celebration!
For everyone who completed a Quest over the summer, join us at the Tantramar
Veterans Memorial Civic Centre for a day of fun, food, music and games!
Parents are welcome too!

Tennis is a great active outdoor sport. Sackville

is fortunate to have 3 well maintained courts. We
offer classes for all ages and skill levels! Our

instructors will place you according to skill level
at the start of the season.

On July 11 we have a new event scheduled, the                Special Populations
Rogers Rookie Tour. It is designed to bridge the gap                  $5
between entry level tennis and the competitive junior        Monday & Thursdays

Youth Leadership Program
This year we will be holding a new Youth Leadership Session every 2 weeks, beginning
July 6 for youth age 13-15.

Some of the experience you’ll gain during your time as Youth Leader includes:
   First Aid Training
   Seminars on resume writing and other valuable life
   Work with the kids in SummerQuest, lead games &
   Hands on work experience in a local business
   Day trips in area to learn about local issues
   Volunteer time and make a difference in your

Sackville Public Library Summer Program
The Sackville Public Library will be holding some special summer events for children,
including a reading club. This club is for children in Grades 1 - 8, and is free of charge.
Special weekly events will also be highlighted throughout the summer. For more

Sackville Youth Soccer Association
The Sackville Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) provides a comprehensive instructional
and recreational soccer opportunity for both male and female players of all ages. For
young children, fun is emphasized as players learn soccer skills in parent-supervised
mini games. For youth players, the emphasis is to provide a safe, well-organized and
progressively competitive environment for the development of soccer skills.

The rapid growth of interest in women’s soccer is a particular feature of SYSA’s
program. Girls play on mixed teams up to the “10 and under” level. Thereafter, both
boys and girls levels offer an excellent program run separately with opportunities to

Minor Baseball
Sackville Minor Baseball Association is
again offering a complete baseball
program for girls and boys ages 5-14
years. Registration fees are as follows:
T-Ball & 5-Pitch $45.00, Mosquito $60.00,
Pee-wee & Bantam $65.00, and of course
our “Family Plan” of 2 children or more -
$75.00 per family.

Sackville Minor Football Association
Spring Camp May 28-June 1. All boys and girls aged 10-15 years old before December
31 are welcome to attend. All equipment is provided except cleats &mouth guards.
$65, registration will take place at the FRS Warehouse 22 Crescent Avenue, May 20, 6-

Tantramar Marsh Hawks Lacrosse
The season traditionally begins in early May and runs indoors at the Tantramar
