1974 Venee Burges House, a residence at Allambie Heights for 50 adult employees of Centre

     Health, supported by Mr R. Dowel, Director of Social Security and Sir Vernon Treatt, K.B.E.,
     M.M., Q.C., President of the Appeal Committee in April. The total cost was $535,000. The
     Government made a grant of $22,000, but the balance was raised by voluntary effort.

      The Treatment and Training Unit at Allambie Heights was
      RI¿FLDOO\ QDPHG WKH µ:& $OOHQ 7UHDWPHQW DQG 7UDLQLQJ
      Unit’, to honor Mr W.C. Allen, who provided the cost of this
      Unit, which amounted, after subsidies, to $74,000.

      The Spastic Centre Research Unit was established within
      the Division of Neurology, Prince Henry Hospital and
      headed by Dr Peter D. Neilson.

      sub-contractor to manufacture electronic microprocessor based teleprinters for Telecom
      Australia.


1977 Audrie McLeod was awarded a C.B.E. on 11 June.


1978 Extensive internal reorganisation was undertaken in Centre Industries to accommodate the
     manufacturing requirements of the telex machine being made under contract for SAGEM,
