SHOPPER HOPPER A WIN FOR LOCALS
The NSW Government is delivering 300 new buses for commuters.
Wednesday 30 September 2009
Minister for Transport David Campbell today said a new Shopper Hopper bus service would be
introduced on 11 October 2009, in response to community requests.
Mr Campbell said the Shopper Hopper 576T service would run from North Wahroonga to
Turramurra Station and operate between 10.20am and 2.20pm weekdays.
“A new bus network was introduced to the Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai districts in March this year,
following extensive community consultation about the changes,” Mr Campbell said.
“However, since the new timetable was introduced we’ve received numerous requests from
locals, especially residents of North Wahroonga, for direct connections to the station, which
were altered with the new timetable.
“We have listened to those requests and I’m sure the new Shopper Hopper service will be
warmly welcomed by local residents.
“The service will provide connections to key destinations, helping people to access the services
they need and encouraging public transport use.”
Mr Campbell said passengers looking for more public transport information or to plan trips
should visit 131500.com.au or call 131500.
