The spotlight on Qigong is welcomed and long overdue…through the media more people will be exposed to this ancient practice and learn of Qigong’s proven benefits for nourishing and maintaining physical and environmental health and well being: In his latest book, “A New Earth” visionary Eckhart Tolle writes “Tai Chi and Qigong will play an important role in global awakening.” Dr. Mehmet Oz, Real Age expert promoting Qigong on both Oprah and Good Morning America with Diane Sawyer has stated "If you want be healthy and to live to 100...do qigong."! Another Qigong advocate, Dr. Christine Northrup, practiced Qigong with Oprah’s studio audience to increase the flow of energy in the body. May 7, 2008 NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams featured Dr. Shin Lin discussing his research on the health benefits of combining simple movements with “deep breathing, mental concentration as a type of moving meditation.” Internationally, Dr. Effie Chow was interviewed in Kuwait by Arab Television News and featured among leading scientists and spiritual leaders in the newly premiered Russia-produced film “Water.”
