For all tours a minimum number of 20 participants and full payment and full payment
in advance (preferable together with the congress fees) are required.

1. Historical Vienna

This city tour offers a comprehensive overview of the historical highlights of Vienna.
This guided tour will get you by bus to Schrönbrunn Palace where you will have the
opportunity to visit the gorgeous and world-famous imperial apartments and drawing
rooms of Emporer Francis Joseph and Empress Sissi. During the subsequent city
tour you will get to know the historical buildings in the city centre.

2. Museum Tour

Vienna offers its guests an exceptional variety of museums, two of which you will get
to know more closely during this tour. In the famous Leopold Museum in the Modern
Museum Quarter you will see paintings by Klimt, Schiele, etc. Then we shall visit the
best-known museum of Vienna, the Kunsthistorische Museum with its vast collections
of classical pieces of art over many centuries.

   3. Art Noveau in Vienna




This tour gives you an overview about buildings and artists of art nouveau in Vienna.
In the Vienna Secession, planed by Joseph Maria Olbrich, a former member of the
studio of Otto Wagner you will see the famous and impressive 35m long
Beethovenfries of Gustav Klimt. Afterwards you can admire further paintings of
representatives of Austrian Art Nouveau (Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka) in Upper
Belvedere

4. Jewish Vienna


Discover the history of Jewish people in the city of Vienna! On our tour we will pass
through Leopoldstadt which is considered to be the Jewish district of Vienna.
Important Jewish institutions such as the Synagogue in the centre of Vienna or the
Memorial to the Austrian Victims of the Shoa can be observed while walking through
the historical centre. This programme includes a guided tour through the Jewish
Museum at the "Judenplatz" which reflects upon the Jewish Vienna of the Middle
Ages. Additionally, a second guided tour will take you to the Jewish museum at the
"Palais Eskelles" which - apart from other impressive items - reveals one of the most
significant Judaica collections of Max Berger.

5. Full day excursion: Danube Valley




This tour will take you west of Vienna, to the beautiful part of the Danube Valley
known as the Wachau. The full day's journey includes a visit to the magnificent
Benedictine abbey of Melk, one of the best examples of Baroque architecture in
Austria and often referred to as the "cradle of Austria". You'll pass the picturesque
village of Dürnstein, where King Richard the Lionheart of England was held prisoner
until rescued by his faithful minstrel Blondel, as well as the old merchants' town of
Krems. In Krems, lunch will be served. Finally you'll enjoy a traditional Austrian wine
degustation including a wine cellar tour.
