The Stepping Stones    19 48.4' S    149 03.8' E      A series of bommies which run from the lagoon up to the north west side. A figure of 8 around two bommies takes about a tank of air. Good diving anywhere.
Bait Reef              19 49.2' S    149 03.8' E  21 First class diving on a wall dropping from 3m to 20m. Deep caves and a chimney at 3m which opens up at 21m. Manta rays.
The Pinnacles          20 00.3' S    148 50.0' E  9   One of the best dive sites and great snorkelling. Gentle slope from 5m to 21m. Bomies from 9m to 3m.
The Wood Pile          20 03.6' S    148 57.6' E  15 Excellent drop off dive (not for snorkelling). Strong ebb tides may dictate dive times. Suitable in light winds to 15 knots.
East Hayman Island     20 03.6' S    148 52.4' E      Very beautiful dive but hard due to lack of anchorages and exposure. Drop off dive but need virtually calm conditions.
Manta Ray Bay          20 03.7' S    148 57.4' E  27 Protected on Hook Island, best dived from a boat. Bommies raise from 27m to about 12m.
Launcheon Bay          20 03.8' S    148 57.3' E      Good bommie dive for experienced divers. Strong currents present a dangerous situation.
Alcyonaria Point       20 03.8' S    148 55.4' E  27 Try to dive at high tide. Mid tide can offer strong currents. Two dives - 3m - 12m and 15m - 27m caters for all divers.
Blue Pearl Bay         20 03.9' S    148 52.8' E  18 Great snorkelling and diving to 18m. Shoals grandually to a vertcal wall at 15m.
Dolphin Point          20 03.9' S    148 52.8' E  18 Northern tip of Hayman Island. 6m - 18m. Excellent biodiversity.
Maureen's Cove         20 04.0' S    148 56.2' E  15 Good shallow diving but not great for snorkelling. Well protected except from northerlies. Bommies rise from 15m.
Butterfly Pass         20 04.0' S    148 55.4' E  15 Great wall diving in 3m - 6m then drops vertically to 15m.
Langford Reef          20 04.8' S    148 52.8' E      Excellent diving on eastern side of the reef. Watch for strong currents.
Bird Island            20 05.3' S    148 52.3' E      Drift dive, almost always to the south.Beware of very strong currents.
Mackeral Bay           20 05.4' S    148 57.2' E      Good coral cover in shallow water. Bommies at 7m - 12m. Good during northerlie winds. Best during neap tides and avoid in southerly winds.
Saba Bay               20 07.2' S    148 56.6' E      Good coral cover in shallow water. Bommies at 7m - 12m. Good during northerlie winds. Best during neap tides and avoid in southerly winds.
Cateran Bay            20 09.5' S    149 02.0' E      Relatively shallow dive. Snorkellers can see almost everything. Access from boat only at low tide. Watch for currents off north-west tip.
False Nara Inlet       20 09.9' S    148 53.2' E      Difficult anchorage. Best for diving during neap tides and in light winds. Look for parrotfish.
Raven's Cove           20 10.2' S    148 54.7' E      Very exposed and best in neap tides and very light winds. Good for vessels not able to venture to offshore sites.
Hannah Point           20 12.9' S    148 48.4' E      Normally average visibility. Sometimes dived at night due to proximity to the shore. Good when other sites are undivable.
