					Director of Lean Manufacturing
Responsibilities

1. Primary internal lean expert working with Plant Managers and Engineers to implement lean
methodologies throughout the organization.

2. Establish metrics and performance monitoring systems to provide plant and senior management with
quantifiable gauges of results and impact of lean activities.

3. Promote, educate and instil a culture of waste identification and elimination throughout the manufacturing
organization by utilizing lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement principles.

4. Coordinates with plants to ensure sustained and fast pace adoption of lean and continuous improvement
activities.

5. Coordinates and leads corporate level projects interfacing with all functional organizational levels.

6. Develop and train plant and corporate personnel in lean and continuous improvement techniques and
practices.

7. Executes responsibilities without the need for external consultants or assistance.

Experience & Skills

1. Hands-on, in-depth knowledge of lean and continuous improvement methodologies. Capable of leading
and implementing the practical application of the full range of lean methods on the plant floor. Must have
implemented lean practices in several different plants or operating environments.

2. Must possess excellent project management skills.

3. Should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience as the head of operations or Plant Manager and/or
Manager of Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or Continuous Improvement.

4. Strong leadership skills demonstrated through championing accountability, maximizing team and
individual strengths, seeking and implementing change, and aligning with critical plant and business
objectives.

5. Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, coaching and counseling, presentation, writing and meeting
facilitation's skills.

6. Talent for recognizing better and innovative ways to accomplish objectives.

7. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/initiatives with budget limits and time constraints.

Education

1. BS degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Operations or Mechanical Engineering (or similar).

2. MBA a plus.

3. Lean manufacturing (related) certification preferred.

Compensation and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience. Relocation package not
available.
