In the heat of the summer, the outdoor furniture industry gathers in Chicago to catch a glimpse of what’s to come for the next selling season
at the Summer and Casual Furniture Manufacturers Association’s official Casual PreMarket. Traveling the halls of the Merchandise Mart, it
was difficult not to spot the trends for 2008 ... sinuously curved furniture; warm spicy tones in every showroom, contrasted by cool blues and

                                    well-suited for the formal or structured garden setting.
                                    24. Perfect coupling. Lloyd/Flanders’ Mandalay oversized cuddle
                                    chair and ottoman find the perfect fit in the company’s new shirt-
                                    styled throw pillow, a great add-on to increase sales.
                                    25. Memories. Gloster’s Symphony group coffee and end tables
                                    showcase keepsakes under glass.                                                        22.
                                    26. Bigger is better. The Monaco cuddle chair and ottoman from
                                    Agio feature the traditional wicker look, with its big rolled arms, open
                                    weave accents and curved back. The new twist: it is oversized.
                                    27. Chic and curvy. Barlow Tyrie’s Dune loveseat, with curved lines,
                                    plush accent pillows and deep cushions in exquisite outdoor fabrics,
                                    beckons to be placed in an organic setting.
                                    28. Hot dots. Whitecraft’s Oasis group shows the shape of the season
                                    - the dot - in spa blue, beige and brown.
                                    29. Under cover. Agio’s Key Biscayne sofa pergola features a covered
                                    top for shade and follows the trend of curving shapes with deep
                                    seating cushions.
