Please remember that this is a SURPRISE, so please don't say anything to Mom! Ann, Jill and Doug Torrie and Families The Storyteller Most of you will remember "Marilyn the Storyteller" who brought meaningful and fun messages to "children's story time" at Westminster. Most of you will also know that this is a woman who has done 'so much for so many for so long' in the church and the community as well. It is time to "give back"! A tree carving, to be done by a local artist, is being commissioned in Marilyn's honour. It is to be called "THE STORYTELLER" and will be located, when finished, in front of the Orangeville Public Library! It will be carved in her likeness and will bear a plaque with her name, date, etc. Marilyn is residing at the Avalon and is aware of and involved in the project. She is thrilled and loves the chosen location. This will be a wonderful tribute to Marilyn. The project has given her something to look forward to, and be excited about. We had quite a giggle when I asked her if she was up to "standing in front of the Library telling stories for the next 500 years"! If you would like to contribute financially to this project, please contact Anne Richardson at 519 941-4490 or email at jtrear@rogers.com Thanks for your consideration. ...Anne Richardson. The Canadian Council of Churches is the sponsor and there are a tremendous variety of religious traditions involved. Fabulous musicians including Susan Aglukark will be there and, there will be an Aids/HIV social justice focus. Organizers are hoping for 1500 folk.
