Works and Services are applicable to most projects where the value of construction exceeds $100,000.00.
Requirement varies in industrial zones. Coordinate with Development Engineering – Design Stage
Acceptance must be complete prior to BP issuance.

Development Permit (DP) is required for alterations where the value of construction exceeds $100,000.00
and all new construction. Coordinate with Current Planning – DP must be in place prior to BP issuance.

In accordance with the duties of a Coordinating Registered Professional (CRP) as per the BC Building Code
Schedule A, it is the responsibility of the CRP to collect and submit all Schedules B1, B2 and D with the
building permit application and Schedules C at project completion. We will be directing all correspondence
to the CRP with copies to the owner.

Development Cost Charges are applicable to most projects where the value of construction exceeds
$50,000.00. Development Cost Charges are calculated on gross floor area and vary according to use (i.e.,
residential, commercial, industrial, etc.).

Building Permit Fees:

An application fee equal to 10% of the estimated Building Permit fee is due with submission of application.

The charge for building permit is based on market value of the finished project

Bond fee:
- against damage to City property during construction
- refundable upon occupancy
