Plaintiff Lisa Wood filed a five count civil case in Wayne County's (MI) 3rd Judicial Circuit Court against Little Caesars Enterprises, Michael Ilitch and others alleging (1) Breach of Contract; (2) Promissory Estoppel; (3) Breach of Fiduciary Duties; (4) Negligence; and (5) Conspiracy. Case No. 08--018537-CZ
Count V. of the complaint alleges Conspiracy. Several times in 2004, Ronald Ilitch violently beat Plaintiff Wood who had been living in his home as his girlfriend. Ilitch was arrested and would later accept a plea agreement regarding the acts of domestic violence. Wood alleges that Ilitch, members of his family and their employees conducted a crime scene cover-up in Mr. Ilitch's home in the days following August 2, 2004, destroying evidence and other personal items belonging to Wood including an executed franchise agreement between Wood and Little Caesars.
