                                            Public Hearing

In accordance with the rules and regulations of the Trust Fund, the Governing Body of
_________________________             conducted    a    public   hearing   on   this   application   on

application only) are attached together with a copy of the public notice advertisement of the
meeting.* The governing body adopted the attached resolution authorizing the municipality to
submit this application.

Please note: In addition to the public hearing requirement, applicants are now required to
notify all property owners within a 200-foot radius of the property about the public hearing
(at least 10 days prior), whether the application is for park development or acquisition.
Notification must be sent via certified mail, and proof of notification of this public hearing
must be submitted to the county along with eighteen (18) copies of each application by the
deadline of Wednesday, June 23, 2010, 4 p.m.

Please also note that after an award is made to a municipality, language in the
Rules and Regulations, as well as the agreement between the county and
award recipient, states that the recipient community shall be required to
acknowledge the award of Open Space Trust funds in the annual tax bill that
is mailed to each property owner. For example: “The [city, borough, township]
of [name of community] has received [$ amount] as a grant in [year/s] from the
Passaic County Open Space Trust Fund for [project name/s].”
