A single vehicle collision in the
Brindabellas this afternoon has prompted
ACT Policing to remind motorists of the
importance of paying attention and
driving to the road conditions.

Police were called to the collision shortly
before 2pm, and were told the female
driver of the car had failed to negotiate a
sweeping left hand bend on Brindabella The vehicle came to rest down an
Road, approximately 5km north of the embankment.
Cotter Road.

The vehicle rolled down an embankment, trapping the female driver. The
passenger, also female, was able to flag down a passing driver who
alerted police and Emergency Services.

The driver was cut free around 30 minutes later, sustaining non-life
threatening head, neck and chest injuries.

The two women, both 17-years-old of Belconnen, were conveyed to the
Canberra Hospital by ACT Ambulance.
