With the launch of the inaugural bluebox Out of the box discovery competition, your new
idea, concept, theory, invention, innovation, product, service or early-stage research could
see you share in a prize pool worth $10,000. Rewarding innovative thinking at QUT, Out
of the box is open to imaginative, unique and inventive research ideas which have
commercial applicability and may ultimately provide benefits to the community, industry or
government.

QUT employees and students from all research disciplines and across all Faculties and
Institutes may enter Out of the box. Entrants must confirm that the content of their entry is
not owned by or licensed to an external party outside of QUT. Entry is not open to projects
with which bluebox is currently involved.

by a panel of experts on their novelty, inventiveness and commercial
potential. Winners will be announced at an informal function held
