                                                     Currently this approval is required
only for whey products, however the
                                                     method is generally approved for
                                                     other products as indicated.
This method is empirical in nature
and has no validation status but is
the only method that will be suitable
for this product type. No other
approved foreign matter approved
methods are suitable for cocoa-
blended powders.

The approval of the original method
is required only for whey products,
however the method was generally
approved for other products as
indicated. This approved method
pertains to the scope of products for
which the method can be applied. pH
is actually not an attribute for
products which requires an NZFSA
approved method, so effectively this
is not a new approval but an approval
of a new, essentially unchanged
method for those existing products to
which it applies.

Not to be used for demonstrating
compliance with the USFDA MoU.
*NOTE: This method is currently
undergoing review to determine
potential equivalence to the EU
reference method.
