The Patience Fund
The Patience Fund is a special fund to support the fostering and adoption of
dogs in crisis. In responding to the urgent need of rescuing and re-homing
abandoned and abused dogs – especially during these difficult economic
times – a generous friend of Paws for Love has made it possible for us to
establish this fund in memory of her mother, Patience.

Join us on SATURDAY, JUNE 6th, at the historic Foppiano Vineyards for an afternoon of art,
food, fine wines, and doggone good fun – all to benefit the Paws for Love Foundation.
Bring your favorite canine to share in the festivities from 11 am to 4 pm at the winery just
south of Healdsburg. While you enjoy a picnic lunch of grilled gourmet sausages and take part in
tasting fine Foppiano wines, your pooch is welcome to try his/her paws at painting – creating
an original masterpiece for you to take home as a keepsake of this special day!
The “Vineyard Barrel-Dash”, a unique canine agility course, has been created from wine
barrels especially for this event – and any dog is welcome to participate! An informal competition
in "agility" will take place at 3:00, with a panel of judges led by a celebrity guest.
Wine tasting will continue throughout the day, and MaSnax will be on hand to provide tasty
treats for the dog-guests. Art for the dog-lover will be available from Big Al’s Art Gallery,
The Painted Dog, and Taylor Page.
“Paws in the Kitchen!”, our 10th anniversary Paws for Love cookbook will be for sale, with
samples of dog treats made from our own recipes!
Admission is $10 per person, and dogs are free – “paw painting” will be on a
first- come, first-served basis between 11 - 3. Proceeds benefit the
Paws for Love Foundation (www.pawsforlove.info).
Foppiano Vineyards is located at 12707 Old Redwood Highway, Healdsburg.

The Value of “Time”…
Volunteering is more than a gift of your time – when you volunteer for the Paws for Love
Foundation the value of your time can be measured in more than the hours you give – your time
gives the gift of life to homeless, abused, and forgotten pets. We welcome volunteers of all
kinds and a variety of skills are needed before, during, and after our February fund-raiser.
Proceeds raised by our nonprofit foundation bring care, comfort, and homes to needy animals
through the many organizations and individuals to which we are able to offer assistance. The
ability to provide food and supplies to a struggling shelter, emergency surgeries, or funding to
assist with a major rescue effort often makes the difference between life and death for many
If you are interested in joining our Paws for Love volunteer family, please contact our volunteer
coordinator Terrie O’Dell at Terrieodell@aol.com for more information.
We want to extend a special “thank you” to
Terrie O’Dell, our Paws for Love Volunteer
Coordinator! Her skillful organization of
our volunteer group and smooth
coordination our event teams were
stunning, to say the least!
Thank you, Terrie!
The Paws for Love Foundation wishes to recognize
and thank Larry Bertolini and the Western Farm
Center for ten years of support, generous donations,
and for being our champion in event ticket sales
But don’t wait until February to stop in to say “hi” to
Larry – Western Farm Center is located at 21 W. 7th
Street in Santa Rosa and offers supplies for just
about every kind of pet. And, of course dogs are
welcome at the Western Farm Center!
