4. HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION

NATURE OF HAZARD

INHALATION:
Liquid or spray mist may produce tissue damage, particularly on mucus membranes of
eyes, mouth and respiratory tract.

EYE CONTACT:
Extremely hazardous in case of eye contact. Irritant and causes corneal damage.

SKIN CONTACT:
Prolonged or repeated contact may irritate skin

INGESTION:
Hazardous in case of ingestion.

CHRONIC:
Repeated or prolonged contact with spray mist may produce respiratory tract irritation
leading to frequent attacks of bronchial infection.
5. FIRST AID MEASURES

INHALATION:
If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is
difficult, give oxygen. Get medical attention.

EYE CONTACT:
Check for and remove any contact lenses. Flush with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. COLD water may be used. DO
NOT use an eye ointment. Seek medical attention.

SKIN CONTACT:
In case of contact, wash with soap and water and flush skin with plenty of water for at
least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. COLD water may be
used. Wash clothing before reuse. Thoroughly clean shoes before reuse. Get medical
attention if required.

INGESTION:
DO NOT induce vomiting. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband.
Seek medical attention.


6. PREVENTATIVE AND CORRECTIVE MEASURES

PERSONAL PROTECTION:
Neoprene or isoprene gloves are recommended.

ENGINEERING CONTROLS:
Provide exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep the airborne
concentrations of vapors below their respective threshold limit value. Ensure that
eyewash stations and safety showers are proximal to the work-station location.

ELECTROSTATIC ACCUMULATION HAZARD:
None

HANDLING, STORAGE AND SHIPPING
Keep container closed. Handle and open containers with care. Store in a cool, well
ventilated place away from incompatible materials.
Keep from freezing.
DO NOT pressurize, cut, heat or weld containers. Empty product containers may contain
product residue. DO NOT reuse empty containers without commercial cleaning or
reconditioning.
SPILL CONTROL AND DISPOSAL
Dyke and recover. Consult an expert on the disposal of recovered material. Ensure
disposal in compliance with government regulations and ensure conformity to local
disposal regulations. Notify the appropriate authorities immediately. Take all additional
action necessary to prevent and remedy the adverse effects of the spill.

LAND SPILL
Keep public away. Prevent additional discharge of material, if possible to do so without
hazard.
Contain spilled liquid with sand or earth.
Recover by pumping or by using a suitable absorbent.
