According to the New York Times , Feb 1, 2003, by Melody Petersen, TMAP director
Steven Shon reports that TMAP received in excess of six million dollars to develop and
expand it’s program. The bulk of this funding came from the Pharmaceutical industry in
the form of grants from the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation, Janssen Pharmaceutica,
Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly, and Austrazeneca Pfizer, Novartis, Janssen-Ortho-McNeil,
GlaxoSmithKline, Abbott, Bristol Myers Squibb, Wyeth-Ayerst Forrest Laboratories and
U.S. Pharmacopeia.
