Established in 1977 - Located near Hoag Hospital in Costa
Mesa, this restaurant in owned by Maria Elena. She acquired her
mother's love the kitchen, preparing new dishes using authentic
ingredients prepared in a fresh new way. "Botana Carnitas" and
"Pepe's Special" are some of her creations coming from this
'test' kitchen. Handmade tortillas are a favorite with the locals.

It all started in the kitchen over 40 years ago. Mama Avila brought
the delicious recipes from Guanajuato, Mexico that had been in
her family for generations. Over the years, Avila’s El Ranchito has
grown to 11 locations in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Each
restaurant is under the personal care of a family member,
guaranteeing the reputation the family has earned for treating our
customers like part of the family.
