iii, 78-80).

WRITING: Your 3-paragraph persuasive essay should be structured as follows:

•Your  essay should be 3 paragraphs long and constructed as follows:
      Paragraph 1 – The introduction and personal experience. The essay should begin by stating your opinion.
      The rest of the paragraph should describe a specific personal experience that either supports or disagrees
      with the quote above.

      Paragraph 2 – This paragraph should take an example from the text that supports or disagrees with the
      quote and explain it. Be sure to be consistent with what you chose in paragraph 1 (i.e. if you agreed with
      the quote in paragraph 1, pick something that agrees with the quote for paragraph 2).

      Paragraph 3 – This paragraph should take an example from history or current events that supports or
      disagrees with the quote and explain it. Be sure to be consistent with what you chose in paragraph 1 (i.e. if
      you agreed with the quote in paragraph 1, pick something that agrees with the quote for paragraph 3).
