					This Previous Landlord Reference Request Letter is sent by a landlord to an applicant's
former landlord requesting information about the applicant's suitability as a tenant. The
landlord uses this letter during the application process to gain additional information in
order to select the applicant who will be the best fit. The letter requests information
regarding the applicant's rent payment history, damage to the premises, and
recommendation on whether the applicant would be a trustworthy and reliable tenant. It
can be customized to fit the particular needs of the individual. This document should be
