Brooks Brothers, the high quality heritage American brand retailer are now a
key sponsor for Fashion at Kingston. In January this year Simon Kneene,
President and Creative Director of Brooks US, John Hind, MD of Brooks UK
and Marketing Manager Karen Edwards and representatives from Italian
manufacturer Loro Piano attended a prestigious Fashion Show at Kingston's
historic Dorich House to judge a 2nd year sponsored project. Following the
success of the 3 internships offered last Summer the sponsors were so
impressed with the quality of the project, that this year that they offered 4
fully paid internships at their Madison Avenue headquarters in New York in
addition to prizes for 2 runners up.
The winning students had their work displayed in the Regent Street flagship
store during London Fashion Week in February this year. Menswear
students Oliver Ruuger and Kasha Crampton and Womenswear students Iveta
Rodova and Briar Griffin are working as Design Assistants on various ranges
for Brooks during their internships and will be sponsored for their final year
collections when they return to Kingston in September.
