TVOKids seeks out the Best Teacher Ever in its second annual

Who’s the best teacher… ever? TVOKids is putting that question to Ontario’s
kids in its second annual Best Teacher Ever Contest, helping to end the school
year on a high note for the province’s teachers and their students.

Running from now until June 16, the contest gives grade-school kids an
opportunity to recognize their teachers for the valuable work that they do. Last
year’s contest attracted over 6600 entries. To enter, kids must write to
TVOKids describing, in as few or as many words as they wish, what makes
their teacher so special. Is it because they make every kid feel welcome and at
home in the classroom? Do they go out of their way to give extra help after
class? Or do they just make learning fun? Entries should also include their
teacher’s name and school and can be mailed to:

And in this contest, both teachers and the students who nominate them have a
chance to win. Winners will be chosen Wednesday June 18, 2008 by random
draw and 25 prizes will be awarded as follows:

- One child wins an iPod Shuffle. The teacher receives a $25 Indigo gift card,
a TVOKids coffee mug, a TVOKids The Space baseball cap, and a pizza party
for the class.

- Four kids win an iPod Shuffle. Their teachers receive a $25 Indigo gift card, a
TVOKids coffee mug and a TVOKids The Space baseball cap.

- Twenty kids win a TVOKids T-shirt. Their teachers receive a TVOKids coffee
mug and a TVOKids The Space baseball cap.
