               Daniel Hughes in Toronto
   The Attachment Association is pleased to present the courses offered by Daniel Hughes of the Dyadic Devel-
   opmental Psychotherapy Institute. Daniel Hughes is widely known as a leading world expert in the field of
   Attachment Disorder. The workshops will take place in Toronto. Location details and registration forms will be
   posted on our site soon.

December 7
A one day workshop open to parents/foster caregivers/social
workers/child care workers/psychologists who live and work
with children with trauma/attachment issues. The workshop will
demonstrate general principles of research/treatment/parent-
ing of children who manifest problems in relation to attachment
disruptions/insecurity, trauma and grief.

December 8-10
A three day Beginning Level workshop for clinicians/above
professionals who are providing services to children and youth
with trauma-attachment problems. Training includes live cases,
role playing, videotapes, discussions and handouts. Participants
must also attend the Dec 7 one day workshop as a prerequisite to
the Beginning Level training.
Daniel Hughes’ Intermediate and Advanced level courses will be offered in 2011 to those who successfully
complete the Beginning Level training.

                Dr. Daniel A. Hughes received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Ohio University, with a clinical internship at the Univer-
                sity of Rochester Medical School. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society for Research
                in Child Development (SRCD), and the Association for Treatment and Training in the Attachment of Children (ATTACh).

                He consults with various mental health, social service, and residential treatment agencies in the U.S. and other countries. He
                presents workshops and trains therapists in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Scotland, England and Ireland while maintaining a
                direct service practice in Pensylvania. Dan is the author of Facilitating Developmental Attachment (1997) and Building the
                Bonds of Attachment (1998/2006) and Attachment Focused Parenting (2006), Attachment Focused Family Therapy (2007)
                and Attachment Focused Parenting ( 2009).
