Job Summary
The Production Engineer will manage all video and audio equipment within Jobing.com Arena. This
includes but is not limited to, video matrix boards, video boards, electronic signage, audio system,
cameras, control room and production equipment. The position will also be maintaining and supporting
all broadcast related equipment, sound & lighting systems, and other A/V related equipment. Trouble-
shooting and repairing equipment, and providing technical support for the Phoenix Coyotes Event
Presentation Department, concerts, and other events as needed. As needed the Production Engineer will
also work as a liaison between Jobing.com Arena and contracted shows. All sporting events and
scheduled non-sporting events held at the Arena are mandatory workdays.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain all audio and video equipment.
• Update and maintain all technical drawings related to all audio and video equipment and signal
paths.
• Maintain and ensure proper operation of all SMATV systems and televisions.
• Keep accurate inventory of tools, machinery, cleaning supplies, and related equipment.
• Perform off-season maintenance and preventive maintenance projects, and secure competitive
bids for facility maintenance and repair projects as needed.
• Help determine the needs of the Arena and Event Presentation Department for capital
expenditures.
• Working knowledge of non-linear video editing systems and hardware.
• Coordinate all video and audio routing throughout the facility.
• Manage all communications connectivity throughout the building and with outside companies.
• Position requires the employee to perform physical duties including working at varying heights
and moving heavy objects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• User support for all software and hardware related computer issues.
• Other duties as deemed necessary by the Event Manager.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
• Requires extensive knowledge of electronics and electrical systems, Audio and Video systems,
lighting systems, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proven experience with video/matrix boards, at a fast paced arena or like venue. Prior
Daktronics experience a plus.
• Must be able to competently analyze and prioritize information to make appropriate
recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability and experience developing and coordinating multi-faceted plans and
issues.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
• Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to
successfully communicate with the public, other employees and vendors.
• Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication.
• Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Formal Training:
• Bachelors Degree in electronics engineering technology or electronics technology with work
experience in Video/Audio Engineering.
Experience:
• A minimum 3 - 5 years experience with audio and video systems and Daktronics video matrix
system.
• Prior experience in an Arena that is home to a professional sports franchise and large scale
events is strongly required.
• The skills preferred for this position include a wide knowledge base of audio and video
equipment currently used for production.
• Previous working knowledge of Daktronics equipment is recommended.
Material and Equipment Used:
• All engineering tools, hardware and software.
• Full complement of audio and video hardware and software.
