                                       **ARTICLE VI POINTS AND AWARDS **

   A. To be eligible for point’s accumulation toward year-end awards, the rider (handler, trainer, and agent) and owner
   must be members in good standing, and the horse/pony must be registered with the Secretary on the standard form pro-
   vided by PHA.
   1. To be eligible for a year-end award, each horse/rider must have competed in that approved class, Mandatory or op-
   tional, in at least 40% of the shows held during the season,
   AND
   2. In order to qualify for year-end awards, an exhibitor member (or family member if there is family membership) must
   assist with ground work (at least 2 hrs) at a PHA Benefit Show OR show at a PHA Benefit Show, OR Sponsor a class for a
   PHA Benefit Show (sponsorship monies received prior to or at show).

PHA SUPER HORSE AWARD. Awarded to the horse with the highest cumulative point total for the year. Points earned in
each approved PHA class shall be added together to establish the point total of the winning horse. Horse must compete in
each individual class 40% of approved shows to receive points. Lead line points will not count towards Super Horse
points.

Hunt Seat: Hunt coats of traditional hunt seat style and conservative color, English riding shirt with choker and conservative
color , breeches of traditional shades of buff, gray or rust (or jodhpurs), high English boots or jodhpur shoes. Black, navy
blue or brown hunting cap is mandatory. Spurs of the unrowelled type, crops or bats are optional. Hair must be neat and
contained (as in net or braid). Judges must penalize contestants who do not conform. Judge has discretion due to
weather conditions to have ‘Coats Optional.’
A. In the event that judge states that Coats are Optional, a long sleeve English Riding shirt is required.
