Presented by The University of Sydney Confucius Institute
                      With Dr Michael Paton
                      Introduced by Professor Jocelyn Chey

Ever wanted to know the truth behind the ancient Chinese art of
feng shui? Feng shui geomancy, the technique of arranging objects
to achieve your goals, has developed world-wide popularity, but in
the West only a small part of the traditional Chinese theory is used.
Dr Michael Paton, an expert in Chinese history and the philosophy
of science, will explain the foundations of this influential Chinese
cultural practice, as well as examining some of the misconceptions
that have arisen in the West concerning this ancient art.
This talk will give the people of Sydney a greater insight into the
original theory behind feng shui, and will delve into the truth behind
this well known but little understood concept.
