Project Spotlight: Sustainable ICT Initiative 2008 Strategy Humanitarian Sustainable ICT Development Initiative By TechCeFaCos Group Using Holistic Creativity & Technological Approaches ………………………………………..……………………………………………………………. ‘Tele-CML: Center, Mobile & Link’ is a non-profit initiative of TechCeFaCos Group and her ‘Common Members Link’ i.e. linking with her promoters and supporter in UK, Canada, US and Italy. This will be to promote and support an integrated practical ICT Solution for sustainable socioeconomic and educational development in Cameron by increasing the awareness of ICT's benefits as well as making it more accessible and affordable to all Cameroonians. Through a series of projects, this initiative is “Make, Take and Link ICT Services” to empower communities by providing access to appropriate information and communication. The fast growing mobile telecom technology has been important to the TeleCentre and other models of ICTs dissemination initiatives, hence the need for the integrated strategy approach to enhance sustainable socioeconomic and educational development through ICT. This will come after an initial set-up period and donor-led investment. Integrated Strategy Approach Tele-CMR: Centre, Mobile & Link TeleCentre ‘making ICT services available for all using low cost & ‘low tech’ Concept: Setting up a centre with low cost tech to serve the Kumbo community with basic ICT services as means for bridging the digital gap with the rural communities of Bui, others towns in Cameroon as well as the entire world …the world is a global village! TeleMobile ‘taking ICT services for empowering those marginalize’ Concept: A mobile team of IT experts with portal IT equipment and toolkits to serve rural communities, schools, groups etc of Bui with special ICT services TeleLink ‘linking ICT services for sustainable development’ Concept: Utilizing and exploiting telecom techniques in collecting, assembling or organizing and disseminating agro and health info from a central IT unit to control using SMS, ITM, Voice …taking ICT services to the all! mail etc …reaching the right people with information!
