2009 RED DEER CURLING CLASSIC (RDCC)
WELCOME MEN CURLERS:
The 2009 Red Deer Curling Classic will continue to run the first weekend in
November. *New* FRIDAY Nov.6th – Monday Nov.9th . A total of 24 Men’s
Teams will be competing for $32,000 total in prize money, and valuable CTRS points.
Four days of Great Curling, Fantastic Hospitality, Fabulous Food, and a chance to
party the night away in the Shot Rock Saloon.
We will hold spots for the first 20 returning teams that enter before July. 31st
On Aug 2nd, any remaining spots will be filled, from the waiting list.
priority:
1. 2008 waiting list of Teams
2. Teams that did not play in the Classic in 2008, in the order of entry this year.
Note:
1. The committee has the option of team placement.
2. If a team has split-up, the rule of any “3 of 4” will apply to allow retention of that
team’s place in the Classic. If less than 3 team members remain, that team will be
treated as a new entry.
For your convenience, below are several locations for your stay in Red Deer. You
will want to book your accommodations early.

If your team is flying into Calgary or Edmonton, we will arrange transportation to
Red Deer. Please complete the attached form and return it as soon as your travel plans
have been finalized, so we can arrange a courtesy vehicle to pick up your team at the
airport.
Please NOTE that on Thursday Nov. 5th , if enough teams arrive in the early evening,
we will arrange a Motor Coach to pick-up teams at the Calgary Airport at approximately
10:00PM.,
Friday Nov. 6th – Registration packages can be picked up an hour in advance of your
draw at the Red Deer Curling Centre’s front counter. Lockers are available. (bring lock)
8:00pm – Bring your team and enjoy complimentary appetizer’s at the social
upstairs in the Shot Rock Saloon. Your team sponsors will be present and will welcome the
opportunity to meet you. The Red Hat Event will take place this evening.
Saturday Nov.7th This fun- filled night will include snacks, music, prizes and
entertainment.
Sunday, Nov.8th (3pm)
*New* Skins Game for the two A qualifiers with a $1000.00 purse.
Monday, Nov.9th –
9:00 am – Quarter Finals
12:00 pm – Semi-Finals
3:00 pm – Finals
Immediately following the finals, there will be an on-ice presentation, and pictures for
the First place team.

submit them at your earliest convenience.
