Star of the Sea continue their Netball dominance
      and Ruyton prevail in Senior Hockey

Star of the Sea College continued its strong history in Girls Sport Victoria
Netball winning the GSV A grade Netball grand final for the third year in a row.
Star defeated Strathcona 29 to 27 in a closely contested match.

In the runners up A grade matches MLC 28 defeated Genazzano 24, Sacre
Coeur 33 beat Korowa 18 and Shelford 23 defeated Camberwell 19. MLC
defeated Firbank 23 to 14 in the B grade grand final.

In Senior Hockey, Ruyton was too good for PLC, winning 5 nil. LMH won the
runner up final to Lauriston 3 to 2.

The Open Waterpolo A grade grand final will be contested this week (15 June,
2005) by the winners of the semi finals matches between LGS and Melbourne
and Korowa and Genazzano being played this week (14 June, 2005). The B
grade grand final will be played out by LGS and PLC.

In the Intermediate Netball competition, Genazzano and Star of the Sea will
play off in the A grade grand final this week (15th June), having won through
the semi finals last week (8 June 2005). Star and MLC will play off in the B
grade final and Korowa and Star will contest the C grade final.

In Intermediate Hockey Lauriston will play Melbourne in the grand final after
Lauriston defeated Strathcona 3 to 1 and Melbourne beat MLC 3 to 2 in a
penalty shoot-out. The B grade grand final will be played between PLC and
Strathcona.

The Junior Netball Star of the Sea will contest all four grades in the grand final
this week (16 June, 2005), having performed strongly throughout the regular
series and the semi finals (played on 9 June, 2005). Star will play MLC in the
A grade grand final; Tintern in the B grade; OLMC in the C grade; and LMH in
the D grade.

Melbourne and MLC proved the stronger teams in the Junior Hockey
competition and will contest the A grade grand final after beating Lauriston
and Tintern respectively in the semi finals and will also play each other in the
B grade grand final.
