Up until 3pm December 12, the Stock Journal, South Australia’s premier rural newspaper, will host
an auction to aid the Royal Flying Doctor Service. All proceeds gleaned from this auction of quality
goods donated by many community-minded supporters will go directly to this very worthwhile
On offer is an impressive range of quality goods with everything from live steers and butchered
carcases through to French ovens and watches.
The SA Murray Grey Breed Promotion Group has kindly donated a heifer in support of this auction
to help raise much needed funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service which not only services rural
South Australia, but many other areas throughout the rest of Australia.
A heifer bred by Geoff and Kate Buick of Arki Murray Grey stud has been generously donated to
this wonderful cause on behalf of the SA BPG and the following members of this group: Banksia
Ridge Murray Grey Stud - Peter & Claire Coldrey, Baerisente Murray Grey Stud - Barry & Janet
Lambert, Beeamma Murray Grey Stud - Anthony & Denise Fabris, Bottlesford Murray Grey Stud -
Darren Koopman, Eylwarra Sands Murray Grey Stud - Nigel & Gina Eylward, Fairview Ridge

Kilmainham Murray Grey Stud - Peter Callahan & Elizabeth Rushbrook, Oakley Murray Grey Stud -

Arki Cheryl C54 (pictured over page) is a silver purebred heifer born on the 14 of October 2007.
She is a soft, easy doing heifer with good carcase traits and femininity. At the 2008 Adelaide Royal
Murray Grey Feature Show she placed third in the 10-12mth class.
Arki Cheryl C54 would be a handy addition to any herd Australia wide. Anyone wishing to purchase
a quality heifer is encouraged to make a bid in support of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
All items will be advertised for three weeks in the Stock Journal and online at
The auction began on November 20 and will end at 3pm on Friday, December 12, 2008. Ideally you
should bid for your preferred item online and see instantly if your offer has secured the top bid!
However you also have the choice of choosing to bid via email and/or fax using the Stock Journal
as your guide to available items up for grabs.
All highest bids received this way will be uploaded onto this website at 10am and 3pm each day. At
the end of the auction, the highest bidder wins and on payment, can pick up the item from the Stock
Journal offices at 123 Greenhill Road, Unley, Adelaide, South Australia. If you live outside of
