Ceiling Batt Applications

Insulflex Polyester Ceiling Batts have been designed to provide efficient thermal and acoustic insulation to the
homeowner and to commercial projects including project builders.
Insulflex Polyester Ceiling Batts have been designed to reduce noise, heat and cold and to reduce energy costs by
keeping heat out and keeping winter warmth in during winter. Correctly installed Polyester Batts will substantially
decrease your air conditioning costs. The Polyester Batts are supplied in two widths to suit standard domestic
constructions:
430mm wide to be placed between joists at .450mm centres.
580mm wide to be placed between joists at .600mm centres

Wall Batt Applications

Insulflex Polyester Wall Batts have been manufactured to specific thickness so that correct thermal and acoustic
ratings can be achieved without the insulation making contact with the external walls.

Insulflex Polyester Wall Batts can be stapled or taped into position so that ventilation of the wall cavity is
maintained.

580mm wide to be placed between joists at .600mm centres

Corrosion Resistance

Insulflex Polyester Blankets pass the Australian Standards for corrosive effects on mild steel.

Moisture Resistance

Polyester is hydro phobic and thus repels water, resulting in a product that is almost unaffected by accidental
exposure to moisture – provided the product can dry.

Maximum Service Temperature

Maximum Service Temperature is 90 Degrees Celsius. Insulflex Polyester Blankets were developed to suit
temperatures normally occurring in domestic or commercial buildings.

Insulflex Polyester Blankets are supplied in clear plastic packaging with coded labelling indicating type, size and

Roofing Blanket Applications

Polyester:

Insulflex Polyester Blanket is becoming increasingly popular as building insulation material for home, office and
commercial sites.
Polyester is hydrophobic and as such will repel water. Polyester neither absorbs nor desorbs water vapour.
Insulflex Polyester Roofing Blanket is normally used immediately under the roof sheeting with the bulk insulation
uppermost and the foil facing downwards where it acts as both a reflective face to control heat and also acts as a
water proofing membrane when the overlaps are sealed.
Insulflex Polyester Roofing Blanket comes standard at 1.2m x 15m coverage with a 150mm overlap on the foil. All
blankets have light weight foil adhered as standard.
Insulflex Polyester Roofing Blanket comes in three standard thicknesses of 50mm, 60mm and 75mm correlating to
nominal thermal ratings of R1.5, R2.0 and R2.5 respectively. With these three sizes Insulflex are able to satisfy
your requirements for roofing blankets.

Timber Construction – Use Type 17 wax coated screws
Metal Construction – Use Polyscrews (Contact Insulflex)
• Apply pressure while screwing
• Stand astride while securing each screw in place
• Apply pressure using suitable driver.
