The Sands offers a newly refurbished comfortable and classy atmosphere fit for any
event perfect for small gatherings, big birthday celebrations, and work functions.

Our dedicated and professional food and beverage team provide the highest level
of service, ensuring a memorable event for you and your guests to allow the
enjoyment that you deserve.

Our International Chef’s have created a delicious set of menus and packages,
catering to a variety of social and corporate occasions including cocktail parties &
meetings through to buffets and 5 course sit down menus.

We are also more then happy to tailor a menu to cater specifically to your budget,
and individual requests.

Head Chef and I are happy to advise or make suggestions if you are unsure.

                                Functions at the Sands

Our function options and facilities reflect our hotel - modern, comfortable and
relaxed.

Our options are quite flexible and may be adapted, or even created, to suit your
needs. Please find below a brief description of what we can offer you and your
guests at the Sands.

Cocktail Style
Overlooking Narrabeen Beach, our beautifully decorated lounge area is the perfect
space to host cocktail functions for small groups up to 150 people. We cater for:
• Birthday parties and celebrations
• Work functions/ lunches
• Engagement parties
• Special occasions
Your guests will enjoy delicious platters of your selection, in your own sectioned-off
lounge area; with easy access to the main bar and heated smoking areas. You can
either operate an open or limited (i.e. beer, wine and soft drink only) bar tab or your
guests may purchase their own drinks as they go.
Attached is our list of specially selected food platters.

*we require at least one platter ordered for every 10 guests for RSA reasons, please
see Terms & Conditions.

Should you have any queries, requests or specific dietary requirements, please let us
know when discussing your function. We require your platter selections a minimum of
3 working days in advance to source all seasonal produce.


                              DECORATIONS PACKAGES

Simple                 $55
4 bunches of arranged balloons in your choice of colours with the option of a printed
balloon in each bunch (eg 21st, 30th, engagement etc)
Deluxe                 $110
 6 large bunches of arranged balloons in your choice of colours with the option of a
printed balloon in each bunch, table sprinkles and/or tea light candles on tables.

We are happy to discuss your decoration needs with you when booking your
function.
                                                  TERMS & CONDITIONS

 1. TENTATIVE BOOKINGS
 Bookings will be held for a period of five (5) working days only, after which time the space will be released without
 notification.
 2. CONFIRMATION/DEPOSIT
 Signed confirmation of all details (including menus) is required, a minimum of, 2 weeks in advance; along with a deposit
 of the room hire fee (if applicable) cash or a signed credit card imprint is required. Unless cancelled, this deposit will be
 absorbed on the day of your function. These are non-refundable charges.
 3. FUNCTION CANCELLATIONS
 If you cancel your confirmed booking, a full deposit will be reimbursed, provided you give a minimum of 4 weeks written
 notice.
 This can be posted, faxed or e-mailed to us. Less than 4 weeks notice a cancellation fee of the deposit taken will be
 deducted. If the Narrabeen Sands Hotel has reason to believe that a function will affect the operations of the Hotel, its
 security or reputation, it reserves the right to cancel the function at anytime.
 4. GUARANTEED NUMBERS
 Confirmation of guest numbers must be given 24 hours prior to the event. Charges for functions will be based on these
 numbers.
 No exceptions. If the confirmed numbers don’t show for the event there will be a need to still pay for the non attending
 meal and drink package if applicable for the function.
 5. PAYMENT
 Full payment of the function is required at the conclusion of the function. We accept Cash, Bankcard, Mastercard, Visa,
 Amex and Diners. NO CHEQUES unless payment is made 1 week prior and cheque has cleared prior to the function.
 6. PRICES
 Prices will be confirmed with final function details. Every endeavor is made to maintain prices as printed but they are
 subject to
 change without notice due to any changes in or imposition of government charges, taxes, levies or other service
 charges.
 7. BEVERAGES
Beverages may be arranged on a per consumption basis. However beverage packages are available.
 8. COMPLIANCE & RSA
 Clients are responsible for the orderly behaviour of their guests and management reserves the right to intervene where it
 sees fit
 and/or exercise its right to refuse entry or service to any guests on these grounds. Responsible Service of Alcohol is
 company policy and will be adhered to by all staff and security of the Narrabeen Sands Hotel. Dress regulations apply at
 all times and are neat casual attire with shoes at all times.
 9. DAMAGES
 Clients are liable for any damage whether through their own action or through the action of the client or invited guests.
 Please note nothing is to be nailed, screwed or stapled to the walls, doors or other surfaces. Similarly, items cannot be
 adhered to any surfaces in any way unless venue management has given written approval.
 10. OTHER FUNCTIONS
 Venue management reserves the right to book another function in the same function area up to one hour before the
 scheduled function commences and one hour after the scheduled finishing time.
 11. INSURANCE
 The Narrabeen Sands Hotel will not accept responsibility for loss of, or damage to any equipment or merchandise left on
 the
 premises or other property in the venue prior to, during or after the event. It is the responsibility of the organiser to
 arrange their
 own insurance, for all items belonging to them for the period those items are in the venue, along with personal liability
 insurance.
 12. FOOD AND BEVERAGES
 No food or beverages can be brought into the venue without prior approval from venue management. A service
 charge of twenty dollars ($10) will apply to cakes brought into the venue requiring plate / storage services.
 13. LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
 As part of our Hotel License, minors are permitted into the hotel until the end of Food Service at approx 9.30pm only
 whilst they are accompanied and in the vicinity of a Responsible Adult (the Minor’s Parent or Legal Guardian), a minor is
 defined by law as any person under the age of 18 years of age. This definition extends to babies and infants. Minors are
 allowed in all areas of the Bistro and Ocean side of the hotel only.
 14. 21ST BIRTHDAY PARTIES CONDITIONS
 For guests who are booking a function for the celebration of a 21st birthday they are required to ensure a security guard
 is present fort he duration of the function. Security guards will be hired through the Hotel at a rate of $40 per hour and
 are licensed and contracted to a government approved body. 21st birthday parties must also purchase a minimum of
 one (1) platter of food for every eight (8) attendees.
