   For many years I provided free advice for
homeowners who were thinking of selling and
renting back their homes. This advice on how to

some of the tricks that unscrupulous buyers were

    This was in response to many complaints received by the Office of Fair
Trading (OFT) and other agencies like Shelter and the Citizens Advice Bureau
(CAB). Although most operators were completely legitimate and looked
after the interests of their rent back tenants the Government decided to
introduce new legislation to protect those who wish to stay in their homes
after selling.


    There are many reasons why you may decide that selling your home and
renting it back is an option, but it is important to be aware of all the facts
before committing to a sale.


    If you decide for any reason that sell and rent back is an option please
make sure that you contact and deal only with companies who are FSA
regulated.
