Bus Tour Notice

							You are invited!
                      As a part of our Elementary Boundary & Realignment Study we
                      have scheduled a Public Bus Tour for this coming Saturday morn-
                      ing at 9:00 a.m.-Noon. It appears we’ll have nice weather Saturday
                      and want to take advantage. The tour will start at Thomas Jeffer-
                      son Elementary ay 9:00 a.m. We’ll then climb on the bus and follow
                      the following schedule. People can feel free to drive themselves if
                      they prefer.

     9:00 a.m.        We strongly encourage you to join the tour Saturday. In order
                      to assure the tour accommodates everyone that’s interested,

                      we ask that folks give us an RSVP at realign-
                      ment@newton.k12.ia.us or by phone with Jane Walter, Super-
                      intendent’s Assistant, at 792-5809.

                      This is a rare opportunity for community members to see all of our
                      elementary schools on the same day. We will also ask people to
                      volunteer written input after the whole tour is completed. This
                      should be a real perspective builder for those interested in our local
                      school system. Thankfully all of our school facilities provide more
                      than adequate learning environments, but the differences between
                      buildings become very apparent when touring the schools this way.

                      Our public meetings have been very productive so far and we
                      greatly appreciate all the input we have received to date. We be-
                      lieve this bus tour is a powerful way for folks to actually see the
                      various facility features for themselves.
