TASK:         Your task is to research, analyse and evaluate a legal case relating to
              criminal law as reported in an Australian law report.


  TASK DESCRIPTION:

   Complete Section 1-4 as preparation for your final response.

   SECTION ONE (Knowledge and Understanding)

   From the list provided select a legal case and use the internet to respond appropriately

case (or similar cases) and summarise the article. (In your appendices provide a copy of

   SECTION FIVE

   Communicate your findings:

   •   Based upon your research, investigation and evaluation, write a 300-500 word, case
       report using the guidelines in Section 4. Your response must include quotes from
       the relevant case, statute/s and media report/s.
   •   All references must be correctly cited and a bibliography included.
   •   Structure your response so that there is an obvious introduction, body and conclusion.
   •   An appropriate style of writing needs to be adopted in the presentation of your
       response.
   •   Include a title page.
   •   Include a contents page using the following headings:
   •   Section 1 Overview of the case
       Section 2 Summary of the law
       Section 3 Media report summary
       Section 4 Case analysis summary
       Section 5 Case Report
   •   Include the following appendices:
   -   the headnote of the relevant case
   -   a copy of the relevant sections of the statute/s
   -   a copy of the media report or first page of article
   -   first draft
   •   You should word-process your entries, however, you will not be penalised if this is not
       possible.
