FORMAT OF TEST
Students must achieve a passing score on all three parts of the test in order to receive a PASS. The test is
1½ hours long and is multiple-choice.

PREPARATION FOR THE TEST
Those students who wish to prepare for the Stanford Diagnostic Math test may register in DVST 0210-3
(Math - Fundamental Level) a one-semester course whose content parallels these topics.

TEST EXEMPTIONS
Exemption from the test is possible if DVST 0210 has been completed OR if applicant has completed, and
provides a transcript for, B.C. Principles of Math 11 or 12 within the past 5 years.

TEST RESULTS
Once marked, test results will be mailed to you.

WHAT TO BRING TO THE TEST
Please bring your student number, photo identification, and a pen or pencil. The invigilator will provide
scratch paper which will be collected when you complete the test. No calculators are permitted

TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT
Assessments are held on an on-going basis throughout each semester. The Testing Schedules are posted
on the Douglas College Website www.douglas.bc.ca/registrar/assessctr/a-sched There is no
accommodation for walk-ins. To book an Assessment Test at the New Westminster campus contact
Assessment Services at (604) 527-5759 (Room 2700) or at the David Lam Campus, contact Assessment
Services at (604) 777-6033 or the Registrar's Office (Room A1450).

TESTING POLICY
Students may take an assessment test for admission to courses and/or programs a maximum of two times
within a two year period. Students who believe extenuating circumstances exist may contact the Registrar
to request special consideration or exemption to this policy.
