Return this completed form to any branch location, or fax to UFCU’s Credit Card Department at (512) 421-7450, or mail to University Federal Credit Union, ATTN: Credit Card Department, PO Box 9350, Austin, Texas, 78766-9350. Upon approval of this request it may take up to 3 weeks for your credit card issuers to post a balance transfer. To prevent any delinquencies you should continue to carefully monitor your credit card statements and make all necessary payments until the transfer is complete. Notes on UFCU Balance Transfers
1. UFCU reserves the right to decline any balance transfer request. 2. You must have a University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) credit card account to use this form. 3. If by transfering balances you pay off an account, and you would like UFCU to close that account on your behalf, you must also submit a completed Authorization To Close Credit Account form (see page 3). Without this form, your accounts will remain open. 4. Requesting a complete balance transfer is no guarantee that interest or other charges will not accrue on your other accounts. Please pay close attention to all account balances, especially if you expect them to be zeroed. 5. Balance transfers will show up on your other credit card statements as a credit and on your UFCU credit card statement as a payment. 6. Balance transfers cannot be used to pay any loan, line-of-credit or credit card account presently maintained by UFCU. Total amount of balance transfer requested is subject to established credit line.
